Sony Ericsson Idou matures to Satio, looks good

Filed under: Mobile Phones — joshua @ 10:22 pm

Sony Ericsson showed their Idou mobile phone at the Mobile World Congress in February, and the phone has since matured into a production version that the company has named Satio. Like most Sony Ericsson phones, this one has good looks, and the grid format menu so well associated with the company.

The Satio does not try to go into a niche like music or photography, the phone instead wants to make its presence felt everywhere.

It has a 3.5-inch TFT with 360×640 resolution and 16 million colors, and while it is a touchscreen which can easily be operated with fingers, they have included a stylus that is supplied separately rather than be included in the casting, which pretty much highlights its “optional” nature.

Running on Symbian S60 OS 5th edition, Sony Ericsson Idou gets a 12.5 megapixel camera with video light and xenon flash. The body of the phone lends itself beautifully to the camera use, which also includes Touch Focus, image stabilization and 12x digital zoom.

A powerful music player is included for entertainment, and is accompanied by Stereo FM, HSDPA and HSUPA support, Wi-Fi, A2DP, Bluetooth and assisted GPS.
