MSI had already announced its 15.4-inch GT640 Gaming Notebook, and it has now said that the GT640 will be accompanied by the 17-inch GT740 gaming notebook. The GT740 notebook will run on the Intel Core i7 processor, and will have Windows 7 OS. The notebook will also include NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M 3D graphics chipset, HDMI Output, 4 GB RAM, 250GB to 500GB HDD, Blu-ray drive, 4-in-1 memory card reader, a 2-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, and an eSATA port.
The sound system for this notebook is an impressive one, with five SRS-capable speakers and an included subwoofer. If that doesn’t cut ice with you, there’s an output for 7.1-channel surround sound systems as well. MSI is yet to announce pricing and release date, but since it will be shipped with Windows 7, the release obviously will be after October 22.
