It seems that Sigma have contracted the unveiling stigma when it comes to releasing their brand new Canon-mounted 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM (brought to the market long time ago(. While the initial launch date for the tentative EF-mounted lens was set as February 21st, it was soon revealed that it would take place three week later in mid-April.

But the latest news seems to be that Sigma put this date off as well and no reasons have been given for the set back, making the whole thing all the more mysterious. Rumors are doing rounds that the digitally optimized crop sensor lens is being held back so that Sigma can bring out a pair of full-frame optimized OS 70-300mm and 70-200mm.
The only way to find out would be to wait till PMA 2009 and for Sigma to make another announcement then…
Surely they cannot postpone again!

A couple of days ago at the Auto Show in Los Angeles, the Italians revealed their latest gemstone, Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Spyder.
