Nokia N8

Filed under: Mobile Phones — fane @ 12:12 am

The latest smartphone from the stables of Nokia is the N8, and it’s quite a looker. It stands out from the pack of current generation of smartphones when it comes to looks simply because it’s so different with aluminum construction and a wide palette of color options.

This N8 has a 3.5″ (360 X 640 resolution) AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with scratch resistant Gorilla glass display, on which you get to enjoy 720p movies. Complementing the screen is a speaker that produces loud and crisp sound. This also results in call quality being (very) slightly better than that of the iPhone.

This phone also introduces the all new OS, Symbian^3. It’s a really efficient OS so it performs as good as the competition with half the amount of memory and lesser processor speed. While this is all well and good, it’s USP has to be the phenomenal 12MP camera with Carl Zeiss autofocus lens, mechanical shutter and Xenon flash, that supports HD video recording. Such a camera is rarely to be found on a smartphone but Nokia shows here what it means to be a leader.

With everything that the N8 brings to the table, it’s a marvel of a smartphone. The competition better watch out, and the customers may rejoice and locking for Nokia N8 deals at http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/

Dish Network satellite service

Filed under: Mobile Phones — fane @ 1:36 pm

The many advantages of Dish Network satellite service may not be readily apparent to anyone who has not used it – but as a premier TV service, it provides a wide variety of features, and a number of very good reasons to seriously consider making use of the service:

1) Location

Dish Network offers satellite-based services in areas that don’t have, in fact may never have, cable TV. Users in rural areas, who once had to forego any time of premiere service, now have access to exactly the same services as their city-dwelling counterparts, with some extras thrown in.

Moving no longer means having to make a change to a different cable provider. As long as your home has some southern exposure, you can keep on using Dish  Network wherever you move to.

2) Advanced Technology

Dish Network offers services in outstanding High Definition. There are a number of functions on the DVR/receiver, giving you a huge number of options for recording TV episodes and movies. You also have the option of pay-per-view type services, as well as premiere channels such as Starz and HBO. Your viewing experience is enhanced with menu features that are interactive, and you also have access to games.

3) Servicing using Advanced Technology

If you have an Internet connection and want to make changes to your programming package, you can do so online with no problem at all. You can pay your bills by telephone, or via the Website of Dish Network, completely eliminating any need for postal billing, or any kind of paper billing.  You can even use a cell phone or PC to program your receiver via an Internet connection when you’re away from your home.Another phase which is often used in conference calling is “Three-way calling”.

4) Longevity

Dish Network is a well-established, reliable and dependable company that can be trusted. It’s not a brand new company offering some sort of crazy deal; it’s been around a long while and has established its good  reputation over time. What it offers are the best deals that are available, with a competitive and reasonable price structure.

5) Installation

Installation of the satellite is not something you need to be nervous about. You can do this yourself if that’s your preference, but for a reasonable, once-off fee, a trained and experienced technician will come to you and do the complete setup for you. Whichever way you choose to do it, you’ll find it quite reasonable. Occasionally they will offer promotions which include complete installation, and their technician will set up everything at no cost.

These are just a few of the reasons why Dish Network is definitely an option worth considering.

Nokia N97 mini RAOUL Appears as a Limited Edition for Singapore

Filed under: Mobile Phones — joshua @ 10:59 pm

Nokia have come together with fashion brand RAOUL to launch a limited edition version of the N97 mini. If Samsung can get together with Armani, well, Nokia definitely can have a go with RAOUL. To be available only in Singapore, this phone will see a production run of 1000 units, each with a custom designed Fashion Asia widget and a calf-skin leather case to go along.

The phone also includes an emblazoned back cover with RAOUL signature stripes, with the entire package placed in a leather bound RAOUL packing. Those buying the phone will also get RAOUL Gold Membership with 25 Euro credit, and another 25 Euro voucher from Nokia. These vouchers and freebies probably won’t be all that important or even considerable discounts, that is if you buy this phone for 550 Euros. The phone is already up for pre-order for 400 Euros.
