Garmin has made its nuvi 1690 navigation gadget official. This GPS navigator will be released later this year for $499.99. You will also benefit from two years subscription of the Garmin nuLink service which consists of useful applications including local Google search, white page listings, real-time traffic and flight status updates, and the Latitude-like Ciao service. The nuvi 1690 will also save you gas and money with ecoRoute.
Biker’s should be happy because Garmin decided to release a product just for them. Dubbed Garmin Zumo 660 it’s a ruggedized and waterproof GPS unit, that comes pre-loaded with a bunch of maps from the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. With a 4.3-inch touchscreen display, over six million points of interest, integrated Bluetooth A2DP, microSD card slot and support for handsfree calling, Garmin zumo 660 is expected in the first quarter of 2009 for some $800.
