ASUS Launches new Notebooks With Enhanced Runtime

Filed under: Laptops — joshua @ 10:56 pm

ASUS UK has announced new notebooks, each promising a runtime of a full 12 hours! But the wonderful claim of a runtime comes with a rider, ASUS says it is only applicable if Power4Gear system, which has four modes (high-performance, entertainment, “quiet office” and battery saving), so 12 hours would obviously be for the most miserly of these. Nevertheless, that is an impressive runtime.

The three models ASUS has launched for this UnLimited series are UL30, UL50AG and UL50VG. The first one comes in a 13.3-inches package, while the others are available in 15.6-inches. The 50VG also has dedicated graphics. All notebooks come in a brushed aluminum case and run on processors from Intel’s CULV platform.

When launched on October 22, these notebooks will come with Windows 7, Altec Lansing Speakers, WiFi a/g/n, Bluetooth, multitouch trackpad, and webcam. The UL30 has been priced at £599, the UL50AG at £699, while the UL50VG will sell for £799. The UL30 will also be available as a freebie, with a mobile broadband contract with Carphone Warehouse.
