Samsung and Alltel Wireless have come together for a new phone, the Freeform SCH-r351. The phone will obviously be an Alltel exclusive, and is a music and text messaging oriented device. It is in no way a high-end feature packed device, but a rather “regular” phone with a few extra touches.
The phone has a 2.2-inch QCIF TFT that supports 262K colors; the display “makes pictures pop” and promises a good viewing experience. The bar-style phone has a four row QWERTY keypad that lends itself easier to texting, another feature is threaded text messaging.
The Freeform also has an integrated music player, stereo Bluetooth and customizable navigation keys. Memory for the phone can be expanded up to 16GB. Other features include speakerphone, voice recognition and GPS. It will be available in two color options, teal and red wine. Users will be able to download content for the phone through the Alltel Shop. The phone is currently available at Alltel retail stores.via
